Good morning Church! Today we are continuing our series on “Parables of Grace.” As you worship with us today, I hope that we will all gain a deeper understanding of the grace that the Father extends to us.

Grace Alone – Kings Kaleidoscope

Would you read with me an excerpt from the parable of the Good Samaritan:

“[The Samaritan] went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he set him on his own animal and brought him to an inn and took care of him. And the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, ‘Take care of him, and whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I come back” (Luke 10:34-35, ESV).

The Stable Song – Gregory Alan Isakov

As you listen to this, our song of response, you will notice that it is not a typical worship song. To my knowledge, it is not a song affiliated with the church at all. What’s more, I confess that this is actually the song that I had picked for next week’s sermon, so please forgive me for my oversight. However, this is a song in which I see God very clearly none the less, and this is a song about a man who is in desperate need of a Good Samaritan to extend some grace towards him. While this song is a little more poetic than it is clear or concise, it is about the pains of coming to terms with lost love. The song depicts the troubles and pitfalls of a man in distress, and though the narrator of the song accepts blame for his pain, it is evident that we all need grace and we all need rescue from ourselves and the robbers alike.

How Deep The Father’s Love for Us – Austin Stone Worship / Stuart Townsend

The Father’s House – Cory Asbury

Much like man in the story of the Good Samaritan, we are blessed to have a gracious and generous saviour. Let us remember all of these things as we god into our weeks, and let us live into the incredible grace that we have been given by the Father.

Thank you for joining us today! If you haven’t listened to this week’s sermon yet, it is posted on both our YouTube channel and our website, or you can find the link on our Facebook and Instagram pages. Good morning Church! This morning, John is beginning our series titled “Parables of Grace,” which is a series and a topic I am very excited for. Would you please turn your hearts and minds towards the amazing, underserved grace that we have received because of the love and sacrifice of our Lord, Jesus Christ

Graves Into Gardens – Elevation Worship

Death Was Arrested – North Point InsideOut

Ephesians 2 says this:

“And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience – among whom we all once lived in the passion of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. But God, being rich in mercy because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses made us alive together with Christ – by grace you have been saved” (Ephesians 2:1-5, ESV).

How to be Yours – Chris Renzema

Today I would like to encourage all of us to take a moment to ponder just how surreal it is to be outright given something you don’t deserve. I chose the song “How to be Yours” for our response today because it beautifully presents an image of the us, underserving recipient, and our unrelenting, unfathomably loving God. How many of us have cried when receiving a really amazing and personal present from a loved one? Or better yet, how many of us have been dumfounded at receiving a great gift from someone we didn’t expect anything from? Though we can never truly comprehend the grace and love of the Father, it seems only appropriate to weep and fall apart when deeply considering the magnitude of the gift we have been given by the one who we have so often slighted and slandered. There is grace for the tax collector and grace for the Pharisee and that is a truly amazing thing.

Grace Alone – Kings Kaleidoscope

Highs & Lows – Hillsong Young & Free
